Stage 16 guidelines. The National Energy Regulator of South Africa has approved new stage guidelines, including a worse-case scenario stage 16. Energy Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa said the stage 16 guidelines were essentially to communicate that in the ultimate worst-case scenario, the system operator had a plan and a way to protect the national grid. He emphasised that there is no link to Eskom’s current generating performance. (Source)
