Crime Alert: Highway Gang Activity On N4 Highway

14 May 2024

Dear Valued Client,

CRIME ALERT: HIGHWAY GANG ACTIVITY ON N4 HIGHWAY

We would like to inform you of the recent criminal activities regularly occurring on the N4 highway. Over the past few weeks, there have been an escalation in crime related incidents involving highway gangs placing rocks, spikes, and other hazardous objects on the road, endangering the lives of motorists.

The primary objective appears to be luring drivers to pull over, leaving them vulnerable to robbery or even becoming victims of tragic accidents. It is imperative that all motorists exercise extreme caution and refrain from stopping for strangers or picking up hitchhikers.

Despite an increased police presence within the suspected areas, drivers must always remain vigilant and take the necessary proactive measures to avoid becoming a victim of these criminal activities.

Here are a few safety tips to stay safe whilst on the road:

  1. Stay alert at all times. Always keep watch for any individuals loitering near embankments or bridges acting suspiciously.
  2. Whilst driving, always keep your eyes on the road ahead, constantly scanning for any hazardous objects or obstructions. If you do encounter anything suspicious, reduce your speed and safely change lanes to avoid it.
  3. Whilst driving, always pay close attention to the behavior of the vehicles around you, as they may alert you to the presence of danger ahead.
  4. Because most attacks take place during the evening when visibility is poor, whenever possible, avoid driving after dark.
  5. Your safety is our top priority, and we implore you to take these precautions seriously. By remaining vigilant and working together as a community, we can help deter criminal activities and ensure the safety of all motorists on our highways.

Please share these tips with your friends, family and colleagues to raise awareness and prevent any further incidents. Your safety and peace of mind are our top priorities, and we remain committed to delivering excellence in every aspect of our security service provision.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to support you every step of the way. Should you have any queries or concerns please contact the National Command Centre on 0861 00 11 00, any member of the Excellerate management team, or the undersigned.

Kind Regards,
